Acoustical Measurement & Testing Laboratory measurement values are not usually realized in the field. Measurements in the field have typically been reported to be much lower than the laboratory values. With a good quality control at the construction site, leaks and flanking transmission can be reduced to produce adequate measurement values for constructed assemblies. Some of these testing procedures include STC (Sound Transmission Class), IIC (Impact Isolation Class), RT (Reverberation Time), and RC (Room Criterion).
